Kat’s Master Klass focuses on intricate musicality, textures, and providing a space where you can let out every character you’ve ever wanted to play! The freedom to make choices in your performance and movement is encouraged. Kat’s goal is to create an environment where you can push yourself as a dancer as well as an individual artist, while maintaining the love and fun of it all!

 

Kat Cheng is a choreographer, dancer, director, & creative director residing in Los Angeles. Her love of storytelling & world building through movement, camera work, and visuals has been the driving passion behind everything she’s created from as early as she can remember. Across stages, screens, sets and studios, it is no question that attention to detail, full commitment, and sense of play and exploration is what Kat brings to every project.

 

As a dancer, Kat has been able to perform in over 12 world tours and countless live shows with major artists such as Mariah Carey, Sabrina Carpenter, Jackson Wang, Ciara & Jhene Aiko to name a few. She can be seen dancing in a vast range of music videos alongside stars like Christina Aguilera, Ariana Grande, Avril Lavigne, Snoop Dog, Bebe Rexha, Michael Buble, Jacob Collier, Panic At The Disco, Melanie Martinez, Banks, Ozuna, Tinashe, & Lindsey Stirling. Kat has also made many tv and film appearances in projects like The Idol on HBO Max, on the Oscars with K-Pop Demon Hunters, in the feature film 80 For Brady, the MTV Movie & TV Awards with Chloe & Halle, The VMA’s with Olivia Rodrigo, NBC’s New Years Eve with Doja Cat & Bebe Rexha, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with Sabrina Carpenter, The Late Late Show With James Corden with Mariah Carey, In The L Word on Showtime, the Paris Olympics opening ceremony with Lady Gaga, and the Valorant opening ceremony with Riot Games. Kat’s choreography, directing, and creative directing work can be seen across many platforms. She has had the honor of helping choreograph many projects with the Christmas queen herself, Mariah Carey. Her work can be seen on multiple tours for Mariah, as well as on her Apple TV+ special Mariah Carey’s Christmas: The Magic Continues, directed by the world renowned, Jon M. Chu, as well as in the CBS special Mariah Carey: Merry Christmas to All. Kat was also able to contribute assistant choreography in Mariah’s McDonald’s commercial, The Mariah Menu. Her work can also be seen in music videos for Dillion Francis, The Pentatonix, Dasha, Banks, MIYAVI, Barbie, Barbie Dream Besties, Monster High, Jai Wolf, & Rhea Raj. She also worked on many live performances for artists like Death Pixie, Deadmau5, New Beat, Jackson Wang, Milli & Miyavi. Kat also continuously creates her own work to constantly grow, innovate, and push herself as a creative.
